Before I go all hog wild installing the core and modules I'd like some info please.

I currently host several sites using CommunityServer.  Each sites includes Forums, Blogs & Galleries.  What would it take to mimic the same type of setup with DNN?

Can a single DNN install handle multiple domains *and* multiple sub-domains?

If I wanted to seperate family members on a family site can I use sub-domains for that?  (keith.sol3.net, kittery.sol3.net, etc)

Are there any tools for porting blog entries from CS to DNN?

What is included in the base setup of DNN?

Basically, my biggest concern is running one install for multiple sites.  :)

You can add  multiple sites (portals is the DNN term) to one installation. DNN examines the url and loads the suitable portal. It is quite simple if you have an own IP adress and configured your Server to send all traffic to that ip directly to dnn.

So it can handle multiple domains, subdomains and childportals in the form mydomain/child.

I never worked with CS, so I can not help you with the rest.

Yes DNN can suppor all of your items that you need.

Now, as for a migration path from CS to DNN, I know that some individuals have completed migrations in the past, but I am not aware of any current tools that are available for that purpose.

If you want you can enlist the help of someone that is familiar with CS and DNN to help you out.
