Jan,

thank you for your statement. I see a value in adding help texts and a check, whether the module can or shall be packaged, though I assume, this is not of high priority for us, with the new installer in mind. From my point of view, a developer shall create an installation package and not any host and I still see a copyright problem, making it too easy for users to create modified packages (and distribute them), which might contain bugs and the original developer gets blamed for it.

is there difference between packaging a module in version 4.8 and version 4.0?

and another question i

must delete the module that i packaged it before install it another time on my website??
