Was this ever resolved? I am having the same issues....does anyone know a fix?

I also, am having a similar issue.  When trying to add new pages...  With AJAX , it gives a timeout error.  Without,  it seems to grind on forever.  It still adds to the menu tho,  but never lets me know that the "add" was completed.  The menu has also started to have a mind of its own.  Pages that were created are moving around on their own accord to other places in the site map. All of this started happening when updating from the most recent previous version to 4.7.

I am a technical person but I am not sure what you mean by checking each user...Do you have any scripts I can use to browse over the data to look for inconsistancies?
