I'm re-developing my company intranet in DNN.

We currently have 2 sites. Each site has its own pages. There are also a number of common pages. I want my menu structure to display pages that are relevant to each site. While this part is easy - members of each site belong to their own "Everyone" security group, I also want to allow users to be able to switch from one site to another.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can do this?

Thanks in advance

Mike

Probably a zillion possible ways... Maybe simply configuring a link or linkable object to the other site placed in one of the panes and configured to be viewable on all pages?

My thought would be to merge the two sites into one.

Thanks for your input gents. Currently my asp:Menu control links to an XML file that contains the structure for both sites. I use XPath to choose which sub-tree gets loaded. I was trying to think of how I could replicate this in DNN but I'm beginning to think this may not be a good idea. It may be better to set up each site as a child portal and try to detect a person's "Everyone" group and redirect when the parent loads. I'm a DNN newbie so if anyone knows a better way of doing this in DNN could you let me know?

Cheers

Mike

Like Jeff says... build one site... use permissions to expose different menus to different roles.

Or is there another reason that the sites have to be separate?
