I have a hosting account on GoDaddy which, unfortunately, does not allow DNN to be installed in the root (I know there are workarounds for this, but didn't bother). So I setup a simple PHP redirect so the user goes from "www.my-domain.com" to "www.my-domain.com/dnn". Once this redirect happens all of the pages from there on show up as my server IP address followed by the content. For example: "http://208.x.x.x./dnn/Content/tabid/etc..."

GoDaddy support said it's probably an issue with the index page of DNN...maybe that I setup a link directing to the IP instead of the domain name. The problem is that I'm not experienced enough with DNN to know which one of the base DNN files to check or what to change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

What entries do you have in your portal alias table? You may have one that uses your IP address which is being used.

As you said that you have little experience using DNN -- i found the following link just in case. It will walk you through the process of looking at your portal aliases
