well, I changed all those settings to get the WindowsSignin.aspx to work, and it still does...

But, I had thought there were some more settings which basically allowed visitors to be automatically logged in when they hit the main page, rather than the windowssignin.aspx page.

I guess I'll keep working on it.

did you add the site to teh intranet zone in IE?

Are you getting the NTLM Challenge/response dialog or just going to the forms page?

actually, I didn't realize I needed to clear my cookies out.  That did the trick, and we got auto-login going.  Sorry about the mixup

I'm having trouble getting DNN 4.0.3 to work with AD groups. I have named the DNN roles identical to the AD groups (domain\groupname), and they arn't getting populated.  Users are logging in fine with there AD account.  I just want them to be automaticly put into there appropriat group.  I have set the AD modual up like other people here (Windows authentication, sync roles, Deligation).  But I still can't get it to work, when i tried changing the config file to remove the quote, it just killed the entire DNN site.

Please help.

Thanks

hello. I am actually experiencing the same problem with roles not being allocated in dnn from AD. Are u suggesting that the AD and DNN (both group and role) should be exactly the same including the domain_name as prefix. I have tried avery combination possible and have gone crazy with it. I desperataly need help on this issue. Thanks in advance
