I placed the installation zip files in my local D:\temp.Then I ran the Visual Studio Content Installer from the DotNetNuke_04.07.00_StarterKit. The process looked simple and straight forward and everything were successfully installed.

Then, I tried to launch and create a web site from VS2005, and found out that VS2005 is not responding. I  did the uninstall and reinstall of VS2005, but still VS2005 is not working now. Please help!

This doesn't sound like a DNN problem.  Might check the VS forums at www.asp.net.

I had the same problem.

You can take out the DotNetNuke.zip file from My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer\VisualBasic and see if it works.

I believe it's a problem with that file because as soon as I took it out my IDE started working again.
