After some e-mails with effort to get things around the Events module organised in the normal DNN way, I made the conclusion last week that  it is not moving forward. I talked to Erik van Ballegoij, core team member and Events team sponsor, about this.

Time to do it in another way

I will start to gather the team together and coordinate the work on the next version of this module for the time being. If the consequence is that I have to put myself forward as project team lead, so be it, until decided otherwise. For me: the team lead position is open to anybody..

I had respons from the following people earlier:
Development: Ty Augustine, Renato Morell  and myself
People for testing and documentation: Renato Morell, Marc Huijbregts, Michael Kamp, Rob /ROBAX
Core team support: Erik van Ballegoij

I might be that I have missed someone in the list above, please contact me ernst.peter.tamminga at xcess.nl so I can make the team complete. If you read this and think: nice initiative, I want to do something for the DNN community, contact me.

Michael and Rob are active on this forum, but I do not have their (your) email address. Please share it with me: ernst.peter.tamminga at xcess.nl, so I can reach your more easily than through the forum.

I will send eveybody an e-mail to verify if they are still willing to do some work on the events module. I have been working on the module on and off for some time and might have event 1 or 2 clients who are interested in the result. It's always good to have a clients for work to be done :-) And I even might get one of my colleagues to join the team as developer.
