Does anybody have clear and clean installtion steps for DNN 4.8.0 on a Windows Server 2003 SP1 box?

I am not able to actaully browser to the just installed portal. I downloaded the source code, made changes to IIS, web.config, and went through the SQL Server installtion successfully. I created all my admin users and it tells everything has been created and build successfully. Then when I would like to browser to teh portal I get this...

I just did a fresh install of 4.8.0 to a Windows 2003 server using SQLExpress and after completing the installation process successfully I also received the Value cannot be null with the parameter name being path1.
I have installed DotNetNuke quite a few times and followed the steps in the installation guide faithfully.
Any idea why path1 is null and, more importantly, how to make the installation to work?
 Thanks.

In a few previous installation issues I have found people that had a successful install but a bad portal alias.

You might check the portalAlias table to ensure that you have your alias in there and that it does NOT have a / at the end of it.

Hi

I have just installed a fresh copy of DotNetNuke 4.8, and am getting this issue too.

The contents of my PortalAlias table is:

PortalAliasID PortalID HTTPAlias
1 0 localhost/dotnetnuke_2

So there's no trailing slash - any other ideas? Has anyone solved this yet?

Thanks,
Andrew
