After creating two test templates using the new Export page function in DNN 4.8, the copy page function now makes two additional copies of each module for a total of three modules copied to a new page! With over 10 separate modules on most of the site's pages, it takes in inordinate amount of time to delete the extraneous copies of the various modules.

That said, is this a known problem and is there a way to rectify it?

When you export the page have you unticked "Include modules that are displayed on all pages?" which is new in 4.8.0....

Well, I didn't originally. Now that I unchecked the "copy all modules" and did another test template I still have get three copies of every module that is to be displayed on each Web page. Even if I simply use the Add page function, I get three copies of modules that I want displayed on all pages. Is there anyway to re-initialize the standard page template for my portal so that I get just one copy of each module that I want displayed on each page of our Web site?

Well, I tried do a complete restore with our DNN Portal, and all to no avail. Now, I have missing icons through the DNN consoles and I still have the problem of duplicate module entries using either the Add or Copy page function in DNN. In addition, we can no longer install any new skins after our upgrade to DNN 4.8, so we're stuck with the skin we have for now. It's nice, but we would like to update in the future.

There are obviously some major bugs in 4.8 that need to be worked out!

P.S. The restore was a 4.8 to 4.8 restoration.
