An error has occurred.
Error: Events is currently unavailable.

Any fix available?

 

Running Events Module 3.3.8 on DNN 4.7 with Friendly URLs, received the following error in Firefox and Safari browsers.  OK in IE.

If you log in with Admin or Host credentials and look under Admin->Event Viewer you should get a more detailed explanation of the error.

This is a known bug with list view when using categories, see thread "Error: List Calendar is currently unavailable" with version 3.3.8". Some fixes have been posted in thread "Calendar Crashes in List view after logging out", but I've never tested them. Instead, I disable category select in the module settings as a workaround, because I don't use categories at all.

As far as I'm concerned, this issue does happen in IE as well. However, it does not occur any more if you switch from list view to month or week view, and then back to list view. Perhaps you have done so in your IE?
