Hi All;

I am a really facing a problem in DotNet Nuke, and looking for a solution for it.

I am very disappointed from DotNet Nuke for I did not find  a very basic feature that is available in all CMS systems, and really surprised to not find it in a gaint CMS like DotNe tNuke.

What I looking for is that, in all traditional CMS I can post a subject with its title, and obtain a part of the subject as "Abstract subject" or "Summery"...in the "HomePage", only The "Abstract Title"/"Summery"  is displayed ..with link to the whole subject named "Next", "Read More", or even "Continue"....once I click over this link the whole subject is shownin a separate page!!!

more than that, in traditional CMS, just I post a subject I can see no. of visiters, no of comments , and an evalution for the subject..with its result in a graphic way

as well as that tradtional CMS can show me a statistics "with links" to most popular subjects, which subject got highest degrees of evalution, ,which subject has maxmum no of  visitors, and which subejct got the max. no of "comment"-ers !!!!

I read a lot to get these answers, but unfortunatly did not find any ...which led me to believe that DotNet Nuke is really giant ..but it is blind....or a lion with no claws nor teeth!!!

please give me a hand and answer my questions ...which mainly are how to find these features and modules in Dotnet.nuk

It sounds like your looking for a "out of the box" CMS that makes you fit your content into it's requirements.  DNN is so open and flexible that these fine points you are looking for become hard to see.  I'm confused as to why you wouldn't want a person to read the content of your artical?  Your looking to disable the read more button?

anyhow do let me know if I can help you at all.  I'm far from an expert.  Total newbie here actaully, but I'm always ready to help solf problems!

What you want exisits already, within the framework I think even.  If you poke around enough you'll figure it out.  It's so complicated that you can't just expect it to operate like MS word or something.

The teams working on DNN always keep flexibility and extendability(is that the right word) in mind.  Have such flexibiliy means that the end user is going to have to dig deep to get certain tasks to happen rather than just clicking install.

Thats the blog module..it can do that I'm pretty sure.  I haven't tried to put parts of the module on one page and otehr parts on another page, but I'm sure it works.
