Also, another approach would be to use MSBuild directly in you project.  I have some templates and videos offering instruction on how to set this up here.

You have to select "import module definition" instead of "Create Module Definition" in "Module definitions" and then select "add control". I added the view control of the module I created, Now the "Create Module package" link apears in my edit module form.

 

I'm not sure why your situation was not working but the "Create Module Definition" does work. Perhaps the folder name was incorrect in your module definition? This will cause the export link to not work.

 

Hi

I have the same problem.  I'm have 2 server both has DNN installed.  The first server is installed with 4.05 the second with 4.08.  In 4.08 the "create module package" links is disappeared. For the same same module on the 4.05 there is no problem.

I checked the folder name, but it was the same as in the module definition...

Does someone has a solutions so the "create module package" button does return to the "Edit Module Definition" pages.
