I think I found it.. It seems to me you have set the background in the site settings too.

This renders this: <body id="Body" background="/Portals/2/Bodybg.GIF"> in the page...

Enter the site settings and remove the background and you should be fine.

How about removing the background details from .pagemaster and applying them to the body tag?

Ok, I removed it from the site settings, and now it does not show at all???  What css file (or other) does it save the background image in, if i could put in the repeat-x function along with it, I would be done.  The logo image is in id=dnn_dnnlogo_hyplogo ?  I'm having problems testing this because of caching, either on ISA or DNN, have not figured that out either, pretty sure it is DNN, because loading the page on the web server does not show immediate changes either.  It is about an hour before i can view changes.

The site setting  will add a background definition to the body tag of the page (inline)

The CSS path to the background-image is not correct it seems, the file path to the background should be relative to the CSS files location, if you drop it in the skin folder you should be fine I guess.

If you login as admin there should be no caching and you should see changes immediately
