Whoops I missed the 7.  It will work with 2000 though.

I have the exact same symptom with a 3.2.2 install but on SQL 2000.

My install log contained a complaint that it could not find "C:\DotNetNuke\Portals\_default\portal.css" and failed.

When I checked, portal.css was indeed in C:\DotNetNuke\Portals\_default\ so the complaint appears to have been false, or it was permissions related.

When I upgraded the permissions to full control and attempted to rerun the install, nothing happened.  Is there a way to re-install without tearing the whole lot down?  Is the underlying problem a permissions issue?  If so, is there any guidance on how to set up the permissions (excepting the DotNetNuke Installation Guide which appears to assume that you know what you are doing.)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I rebuilt it and granted total control.  It worked.  Now I have to figure out what the minimum security is, hopefully without picking up a cert or two on the way ;)
