I have created a similar error in my portal. I know what appears to be causing it but I would like to know why and how it can be rectified.
I am using subdomains of my primary domain as the building ground for creating my clients sites. e.g. www.clientsdomain.mydomain.com
I currently have 20 clients in the development state. When I open all of the sites to work on them - the last 3 get the system out of memory error. When I remote desktop to my server to check resources - there is plenty of memory. If I try to open these sites simultaneously on another computer I get the same error.
I am able to open other domains from the same installation simultaneously but the only way to open the portals that are getting the system out of memory error is to close 3 sites that are open from the same domain.
My concern is what if my clients decide to all open their staging site simultaneously and/or leave their sites open - will this leave me locked out? What if multiple people are accessing the different sites will this cause the system out of memory error sooner?
I have contacted my hosting company and they are confident that it is a DNN configuration which is giving this error. I tend to agree with them based on the way the system is behaving. So my question: Is there a configuration within DNN that limits the number of simultaneous portals that can be opened and/or the number of simultaneous connections to the same domain and/or a configuration which would cause the type of behaviour I am experiencing?
I appreciate your insight!
