Hi Dnn-fellows

Can someone help me?

I've upgrade a dnn-site from 04.05.05 to 04.08.00 on my local server.
I had some errors... see my post at
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/195435/scope/posts/Default.aspx
I've solved these errors with the help of a few 'dnn'-friends...
Finally I thought that everything goes well but this was not true.

When I look at my event viewer.

Error: Event Viewer is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The type initializer for 'DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.LoggingProvider' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.LoggingProvider' threw an exception. ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. That's all what I can see...
I can't see any exceptions... I can not clear, install, edit, delete...
It seems that the event viewer is not working/ is not properly installed.
What can I do?

I've deleted already all the transactions in the eventlog (sql: 'DELETE FROM EventLog')
See post: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/191029/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I see now in my database
dbo.Eventlog: no records.
dbo.EventLogConfig: the records are still there.
dbo.EventLogTypes: the records are still there.
dbo.EventQueue: the records are still there.
dbo.Events: the records are still thee.
dbo.EventsCategory: no records.
dbo.EventsLocation: no records.
dbo.EventsMaster: no records.
dbo.EventsNotification: no records.
dbo.EventsPPErrorLog: no records.
dbo.EventsSignups : no records.

Dnn-fellows

I've seen in the install version that there is not a folder (named providers) in the bin folder.
In my version the following .dll files are in that folder:
DotNetNuke.Authentication.LiveID.dll
DotNetNuke.Authentication.OpenID.dll
Janrain.OpenId.dll

Is that perhaps the reason?

Dear dnn-fellows

Can someone tells me how I can reinstall the event viewer?
I think that can be the solution for this error.
