hi fellow DNN users,

Can I move the login/register module in another pane?(for instance Leftpane?)

BTW, can I do the same thing with the search function?

thanks

DNN allows you to move a module into any pane on a page, as well as create more panes or remove them if you like.  I'd say this is more of a skinning topic if you need a direction to start looking in.

thanks Cameron,

how can I do this quick and dirty?

I do not want to read a whole document of pdf explaining the merits of skinning.

Has somebody done this?

You can't move those modules from where they are, but you can instead create a new page for each and then add the relevant Search-Results and User modules off the module menu.. put them in any pane you like.

You then need to go to Admin, Site Settings and change the default login and/or user pages to your new one/s. Be careful with all of this because I see plenty of people getting themselves locked out of their sites when messing around with the login page.
