What error message do you get? It could help to enter a specific phrase of the error message into the forum search form. Or try this page for extended searching: http://www.searchdotnetnuke.com/

I am having the same problem. The error message I get  from a web browser is a Http 400 (The webpage cannot be found), if I browse to it through IIS I get a Http 403 (The website declined to show this webpage).  The set-up instructions are very pretty vague, is there any type better documentation for set-up?

The most important thing when installing DNN is to get all the other parts setup first - IIS, SQL server database, file permissions etc.  If you dont get those right, then the install will fail.. (and the best thing you can do is delete your installation and start again)  I wrote an installation guide a while back, it is one of the the most popular pages on my site :)  Easy DotNetNuke Installation Guide
