I have aslo encounted this proplem.

I have created sample application in DNN 4.x and I published website. Publishing process was done successfully but when browsing i'm getting the following error.

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Projects\DNN\App_GlobalResources\Locales.xml'.

I have checked my DNN Website Folder and see not to have App_GlobalResources in this.

I have also checked the Bin folder and see there isn't any files that related to App_GlobalResources.

Then, I copied the App_GlobalResources from source code in to Publish Website, but see the message:

The directory '/App_GlobalResources/' is not allowed because the application is precompiled.

Can anyone help me?

Can any buddy help me out!

Actually i wanted to publish my Project. DNN version = 4.5

I have followed the following steps,

i have selected myWebsite folder under solution explorer and then selected publish option.

2. Allow this precompiled site to be updatable    >>Check

And then press OK

Now, My my website get Published, But when I am trying to access this published version via IIS winXP 5.1V, then

I am getting some exception “Could not find a part of the path 'D:\website1\App_GlobalResources\Locales.xml”

So, to resolve this issue I have created a folder under same location. But after doing all this I am getting “App_GlobalResources/' is not allowed because the application is precompiled.”

Please Help me out! :(
