Rodney, updating your personal notification settings to all forums you are having issues with will clear out the post level notifications (the heart of the problem). I've already posted a beta to my team who found some minor issues with it which I have corrected. I am currently (this very hour actually) going through another list of my own which contains no critical items but I saw them so I feel they should be corrected. This means I will post a beta 2 to my team today and depending on the feedback from it, post to release tracker. The beta team hasn't been as involved with this one in the past plus I was busy myself so it took a few months to get this far. (Which isn't really that long, considering the general project release time vs the number of bug corrections made).

Hi Crispy,

That solution unfortunately has never worked for me. Glad to hear that a fix is imminent - I've been without my DNN fix for a quarter of a year! I look forward to the new release...

Thanks,

Chris, thank you so much for posting a status update.  You may or may not know, but there are MANY people that appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into the current version.  It is unfortunate that a single bug has over shadowed such a huge and (mostly) successful undertaking.

I am ecstatic to know that we are close to us not having to sift through "My Posts" to find new ones or wait for existing but invisible posts to show up.

Same here.. the fix doesn't work for everyone. I have had to subscribe permanently to forums and go through posts one by one to post and get replies.

I also have some harsh words to say to 'the corporation' about this situation because it's really inexcusable: There is an invisible communications disaster going on here and it isn't Crispy's failing - it's Dotnetnuke Corp's. If Dotnetnuke Corp had any real sense of business they'd have reached into their funds months ago and paid Crispy overtime to get this fixed. And additionally, if they had any communications skills, the problem would have been notified at the top of the forum page from day one. This has been a far greater and wider problem than has been apparent in the channels.

This situation would have been a total comms disater for a business using these tools, so here's an idea for DNNCorp: Why not dogfood your own support subscription program and show us that it works.

Just an idea,
Rob

Harsh but very fair and I agree 100% - Definitely not Crispys fault but this should have been flagged a "showstopper" the day it was raised and dealt with as soon as possible - a quarter of a year with some of the oldest forum members (it is more likely to affect active users) not being able to post on the core Forums is pretty unbelievable...

Thanks,
Rodney
