The DNN skins with vertical menu use a tree-like menu component. Simply try it - I think that's what you want.

Hi Micheal,

I tried to use the vertical menu and I get this error:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.BuildTree(DNNNode objNode, Boolean blnPODRequest) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.Controls.TreeViewMenu.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

why???

I don't know this problem with the Treeview menu. Do you get that error in a standard DNN installation, with one of the standard DNN vertical menu skins? Or are you using the Treeview menu in your own, modified skin?

I am using the DNN-blue skin

with DNN 4.8.

Nothing unusual, apart from that I have disabled the flag link and

enabled the menu link

As I said, I never had that problem with the Treeview menu, but I don't use it on a productive portal. I only played around with it a bit. I just checked it again in the "DNN Blue - Vertical Menu - Fixed Width" skin to make sure, and it worked. So I have no idea, sorry!
