I have read the documentation and i was able to install DNN and website. But i have one question in my mind do i always have to open the VS2005 and run through that or is there a simple way to run it.

if DotNetNuke is installed on a web server using IIS, you do not need VS for runnng it at all.

I have followed the step that are there in the installation guide. i hope i dont have to run it from the VS. and one more question can you guide me through the running of login module. and how to run the website. Thank you.

Did you setup your site in IIS on your computer? If you did then you can just launch the site by typing http://localhost/<whatever_you_named_the_virtual_directory>.

when i am this htt://localhost/<my site name> i am getting a message as "No web site is configured at this address."

So can anyone tell me how to configure the site.

firstlt i would like to run on the local system and them update it on the server.
