Hi Sebastian,

What I have noticed from yesterday is that this only happens with IE.(I am using ver7)

With mozilla firefox I have no problem whatsoever. In firefox my tempory folder is 50Mb.

I used the same for IE, with no results. I increased it to 250MB but again I the performance is very slow.

What else can I configure in IE?

thanks

Can you provide a link to your website? That'll make the diagnostic much easier. If the site is unusually slow in IE, then it might be caused by some scripts (although IE is always slower than FF IMO)

Besides, it'll be useful if you can provide:

  • DNN performance settings (in Host Settings)
  • Event Viewer & Scheduler settings
  • IIS configuration

If your computer is as mentioned, it's very weird if the site is that slow.

Ok, try these:

  • Set Caching to "High"
  • Set Cachebility to "Public"
  • Switch the Scheduler to "Timer" mode
  • In IIS,
    • Disable the option "Shutdown website after xyz minutes"
    • Disable the option "Automatic Recycle Application Pool"
  • Run msconfig and shutdown unnecessary services
  • Use PageBlaster (from Snapsis.Com) or turn on the core Compression

Since I don't know the specific settings of your computer, I can only suggest these. Let me know if there's any improvement.

Hi duchoangle ,

I tried this:

  • Set Caching to "High"
  • Set Cachebility to "Public"
  • Switch the Scheduler to "Timer" mode
  •
  •
  • and I also used the snapsis module but again I see no improvement whatsoever.
  • Since Firefox works perfectly I beleive it is clearly an IE7 issue.
  • What can I do??
  •
