The problem i'm having is that users can subscribe to a forum topic, but not a specific thread.  I'm on 3.20.08.   I, as an admin, can subscribe to either, so i know it works somehow.  Is this a permissions setting problem?  a bug? or mabe a forums setting issue?

It looks to a permission problem.  What DNN version you are running?

1. If you click on the "+" in the error log in event viewer you get more details of the error.  That is mean you have to post.

2. You are using a old version of the Forum Module.  We recommand to Upgrade to our newer Module.

i think i would rather upgrade the module also.   However, i'm not sure of that process.  is there a step by step guide out there?

a few questions i have are, do i uninstall the old module first?  if so, how do i import the old data?  i dont see an upgrade button, do i just install the new module right in, and the upgrade is transparent.

p.s.. i thought i read in another forum post that the notification in this current release is not working either.  is that true?

thanks for you help
