It's the same skin object, but it has different settings for each time it is used (i.e., in each skin).  You will need to edit each skin to turn off the Web Search option for that specific search box on that specific skin.

Right I think I understand, err I think

So when I drag the search skin object from the admin folder using visual web developer on to my skin it applies its own unique code

thanks for all your help there!

I have sussed it and have also found out that one can DNN uses there own adsesne account for all searches in all instances of DNN on the web.  So DNN get all the referals from about half a million DNN sites.

This can be changed by editing the langauge files
