I have an existing module with one definition.   I've added a new definition to the module, which brings up it's own .ascx control file.

How can I get this new definition to show up on my page without deleting the entire existing module from the page, and re-adding it?

Sorry, I believe that's the only way as the new definition will require that a new module with its own ModuleId be added to the Modules table, etc. and a new TabModuleId be created for the particular tab -- too dangerous to try with direct access to the database tables. If you can't delete the existing module to the page due to loss of data, it might work to add the upgraded module to the page along with the existing module and delete the new, unneeded module instance from the page. The success of this would depend on how interrelated the two definitions are.

Interesting...   I know deleting and re-adding will get both definitions on the page... so perhaps I'll just do that, then do a quick sql script to update the rows to the new moduleid.     This is easy enough of course, but I thought I was just missing something simple.   Not a big deal overall, but could be a nice little enhancement to recognize new definitions for existing pages/moduleids.
