Our site just finally completed a series of upgrades from DNN 3.0.1 to 4.8.0 and are now in the process of debugging the errors we caused along the way. Right now, I am stumped by a quirk in the Documents module, however.

I have one page visible only to a particular security group. This page has a documents module and no other content. The users in this security group were able to download documents before the upgrade, but now can only see the list - when a user clicks the "download" button, it triggers an error message reading "You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File." As admin, however, I can still download these documents.

I've double-checked, and the page security settings are still exactly as they should be. The module takes its permissions from the page settings. At what other level should I be checking/tinkering with my security so that those users who can see these documents can also download them?

In the file manager you will need to ensure that the respective role has permisions to view all files in that directory.
