I only get the standard login window when I click the Login button. I then enter the admin or super user account and i can't get in. I try my netword domain username and password and that won't let me in either.

Anyway, can you explain to me what the line below means and how to go about making the change?

"Give the user account you use for impersonation the same permissions to your DNN install that the NETWORK SERVICE or ASPNET account has."

I'm not quite sure why it won't log me in if I hit the log out button.

Regards,

Derek

Sorry Derek, I missed this post earlier. What will generally happen is that when you use impersonation the site will through an error when you try to load it because the user account doesn't have permission to the directory. So you have to go into the file system on the server and give that account permission to the directory. Right-Click on the directory and go to Properties, click on the Security tab. select Network Service and see what permissions it has. Then click Add and add the account you're using for impersonation and then give it the same rights that you noted for Network Service. Next isn't covered in the documentation but I think you'll also have to same account permissions to the <SystemDrive>:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\<DnnInstall> directory.

Mike

Is there a link that will show me how to take an existing .NET application and plug it into my new dotnetnuke website as a module?

Now that I have my website up and running I would like to import my existing .net apps (created in .net 1.0) into my website.

Cheers,

Derek

From what I know there's no easy way to do it. If they're generally static pages or don't need any kind of authentication on them then you might be able to use an IFrame that is pointing to their web location. Otherwise you basically have to create a dotnetnuke module and then move your code in.

You might want to ask this in the Chat About It or Extend It forums though as someone may have an easier way or has developed a "wizard" type program that'll do it for you.
