Appreciate the help, but it did not work.  The page showed up in the file manager, but did not show up in the drop down lists.  I was told by the guys at PowerDNN this is a bug with 4.82.  It only happens when you start a 4.82 installation, if you had a 4.7 and did the upgrade the bug does not happen.  I have devalued my DNN installation that needs this functionality to 4.7

Any other suggestions would be appreicated.

Gunnar's fix worked for me and my dev environment is a clean 4.8.2 install - no upgrades. The only additional thing I did (out of general paranoia) was an app restart after changing the  Host Settings value.

Try exporting another template again after his fix.   I thought his fix didn't work for me either, but then after I exported another template it seemed to work.

Thanks Gunnar, but it didn't work. I already had the template file extension present. Still having the problem with most skin packages. It seems to be worse with the newest version of DNN
