Hello! I have a login problem I can't resolve...

I have multiple parent portals. I can login to one, but then I can't login into any other portal. It just brings me back to the home page with no errors. Later - sometimes an hour, sometimes overnight - I can login to a different portal, but not into any others, including the first one.

I cleared cookies, allowed all, even switched to Firefox but the problem is still there.

I am on a shared hosting in GoDaddy, so have limited access to IIS settings, but everything seems OK. The sites work, just can't login when I want to.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
alex

Hi There Alex,

I have had the same problem!  But not as intermittent as yours.  I found a program (on this forum) called "OpenSesame.aspx"  You put it in the same directory as DNN installed - and then your type www.mydomain.com/(DNN-Directory)/opensesame.aspx (where mydomain is the name of your domain, and no brackets (parenthesis) for the DNN installation) and enter.  Your site will then load again after a few seconds, and when you try to login again, it will, as per normal!

I am interested to see that you have multiple parent portals on shared hosting with GoDaddy.  Do you ahve the Deluxe or better hosting?  Because I cannot get my 2nd domain to work, even though I created it through DNN.  Maybe you can give me a hint or a suggestion.  GoDaddy acnnot help either, said I must uninstall FrontPage Extensions which I did, made no difference.  My 2nd domain, when I try to access it, redirects to my primary domain.  So my sites do NOT work.

Kindest,

Lori
