Please help.  I added an IFrame module to the bottom of my main page, pointing to the Windows LiveID webpage.  Now, after login the Windows LiveID page fills the entire screen, and I can't figure out how to access any of the DNN functionality to work on the problem. How can I undo the problem I created? And how can I load the Window Live ID page into a frame rather than the entire screen?

Hi, Gary

1. I don't know if there is a way to display windows liveid... They might be doing things to prevent that very thing from happening. I'll have to think about it...

2. There are several ways you can try to remedy your situation. a) Login to the site, go to the page that has no IFrame and switch to Design mode - that's next to View and Edit radio buttons in the upper left corner. Then, navigate to that poge and get rid of either module or change the settings. Otherwise, of IFrame is only installed on that page and nowhere else, you can go ahead and uninstall it and reinstall it after that - it will delete the instance on the page. Lastly (in my opinion, at least) you can change settings in the DB - table ModuleSettings. But you'd need to know ModuleId. You can do that by running a join on DesktopModules table or by just looking at the values in the ModuleSettings table and making a guess :)

Thanks Vitaly.  I remember now that I didn't enter any values for Width and Height when I set up the IFrame, and maybe that is why the frame is taking over the entire screen.  If I could get into Edit IFrame, I could try entering some values.

But, as soon as I log in the Windows LiveID site takes over the entire screen, so I don't have a chance to navigate to a different page or uninstall the IFrame module. At least I don't know how I could. I think I may have to try changing the settings in the DB.  I plan to try that on Monday.  I will let you know how it works out.

I have changed several of the module settings in the DB without any luck.  I even changed the HomeTabId in the Portals table to try to get it to open a different page, but it still opens the Windows LiveID site.

I no longer think that the IFrame is filling the screen, but rather that the login process is not working correctly.  That is, on login the DNN site is not opening at all, but the Windows LiveID site is opening instead.

Before I tried putting the Windows LiveID site in an IFrame, the login was working correctly.  I could login directly to DNN, or I could click on the LiveID button on the login screen and login to Windows LiveID and get redirected to the DNN site.  Now, I can't get to the DNN site after login no matter how I log in.  I even disabled the Windows LiveID feature on the login screen by changing LiveID IsEnabled to False in the Authentication table, but when I login at the DNN login screen it still takes me directly to the Windows LiveID site.

This doesn't seem to be an IFrame problem any more (although it seems to have been triggered by adding an IFrame), so maybe I am in the wrong forum now.

Vitaly, I appreciate your previous suggestions, and if you have any suggestions for stopping the redirection to Windows LiveID I would be glad to hear them.  Or if you think I should post to a different forum please let me know.  Thanks.

Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with LiveID provider/process... (actually, not familiar at all...) So, I've moved this thread to the Authentication Provider project, as I think this is the most appropriate place for it. Hope, I am right :)
