Hi all

I work with SharePoint, and I have a requirement for a SharePoint search server to crawl an externally facing DotNetNuke web site.  The problem I'm having is that when SharePoint crawls the site, it  cannot resolve urls which point to DNN content.

The problem seems to be that if it hits a url which looks like this http://www.domaintosearch.co.uk/subsite/section/tabid/202/ with no default page specified, the DNN site isn't handling it properly - that is it isn't set up to return a default page such as default.aspx (I've tried this directly in the browser and get an error there as well unless I explicitly append the page name).  I've tried this with several DNN sites now (even some of the showcase ones) and always have problems crawling.

So my question is, can DNN be configured so that a location such as the above will use a default page?  Please excuse any ignorance on my part here - I don't have experience of DotNetNuke but really need to successfully crawl the site with SharePoint.

Thanks in advance

Yes, default.aspx is the default page type for all web sites on the server, but this doesn't seem to make a difference to DNN.  If I create a non-DNN  aspx application on the same server then default.aspx is picked up automatically.  Am i right in thinking this is standard DNN behaviour and can't be configured?  For example, on the DotNetNuke site I can navigate to http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/702/default.aspx but if I try to go to http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/702/ then I get a 404 error.

Thanks
