yes (as long as there is no place, where you can download it). For Core Modules, that are installed together with the core framwork, localization should be included in core localization pack, but this depends on the author.

Can you please tell me

what does the Language Packs located at the following url apply to, specially the Arabic one.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/default.aspx?tabid=785&type=art&site=255&parentid=116

Actually I have to develop an arabic version of a portal which also uses custom modules developed by us.I needed to know how can the Language Pack help me in that.

Best Regards,

Hameer Saleem

I checked DNN 3.2 version, it seems to contain translation for core framework and all modules, that are installed by default.

The language packs linked here at dotnetnuke are core language packs. Usually that means that all modules that come with the install or source download of dotnetnuke are part of those language packs as well.

For your own modules you have a few options to create localization files:

* use the dnn language editor (host > language > language editor), and navigate to the resources of your module (local resources > desktopmodules > YourModule.

* directly create the appropriate resource files. I myself like this approach, because you can work directly from visual studio to create your files.

Please be sure to also read the localization documentation, which is part of the dnn documentation download.

cheers,

Erik
