One of the departments in our organization posts training events to our website using the events module.  They have found that the end user cannot unregister from an event on the website.  I cannot find a way to do this as an end user either.

Is there a way to enable this?

I do not believe this is supported at this time. You can always request this as an enhancement - http://support.dotnetnuke.com. I'm guessing it will always need some intervention since a PayPal payment would need reversing.

We have just expierenced the same issue. A user went to enroll, got to the paypal site and had issues so never made the payment. When he went back to the enrollment area, it stated he was still enrolled. I am presuming that it will show as confirmed if he registered with Paypal?

Still it takes up a seat unless the moderator removes...

Yes, when the PayPal completes. PayPal confirms this back to the site (via an IPN), and the status changes to Enrolled and approved (or somethine, I don't have it in front or me now).

In the situation where the PayPal doesn't complete, and the user didn't click on the cancel link on the PayPal screen, you will end up with the Enrolled, but not Approved message. The moderator can either approve (presumably when you are paid), or decline to clear the space for use.

Roger,

I hope i am not being a pain but my Co-Admin tried cancelling from paypal and he reported his findings to me. Could i of missed a setup issue?

I guess I can kind of see what you are talking about.  For instance, I clicked the Enroll link and it marked Malikus as enrolled and kicked me over to the paypal site.  I cancelled.  It still showed me as enrolled but not confirmed, which is correct but I couldn’t un-enroll, which leaves fqreg email with an indication that Malikus is registered when he isn’t.  I guess what I am saying is that the process seems backwards and lacks validation before marking a player as enrolled.

So, he is stating he did click the cancel button on paypal but it didn't get back to the site. Am i missing a DNN Setup issue or should this all be self contained in the Events Module? Education issues i can deal with on the site. :-)

Thanks for your help!!

Dean
