I Had the same problems with 1and1 on the shared hosting plan. It just stopped working as above

Looks like there is a problem with 1and1 and there AJAX installation.

I commented out this line in Default.aspx.vb

            ' add ASP.NET AJAX ScriptManager
            'AJAX.AddScriptManager(Me)

It seems to work, ie can add pages use site settings again. Probably cause a side effect else where no doubt

when i comment the Line in the Default.aspx.vb, I got the following Error, when go to site settings or system settings:

 An error has occurred.

Is a workaround avalable?

Is there a change in DNN ofr at 1and1?

is in a further release of DNN a possibility, that i can run it an 1and1?
