Hi,

I have a problem-if i enter http://172.11.11.11/testportal/portals/0/abc.doc

i can see the file even without logging into the site .Are there some settings to be done so as to avoid this

DNN uses ASP.NET forms authentication, which can't be applied to any non-ASP.NET file.  For those you need to use NTFS file permissions and lock out the anonymous user account.

sorry, but this is, why it is called an unsecure folder. If you select "Secure - file system" before you create a folder "mydocs" inside, all files inside are protected and can only be downloaded using the linkClick.aspx handler.

Can you explain how to access a file that is in a secure file system using the linkclick.aspx handler? For instance, if my docs are stored in the document module and the url is stored as FileId=123, I can't just use http://mydomain.com/linkclick.aspx?FileId=123. What would be the appropriate way to get to this doc?
