Been playing with the skins and experimenting with versions of the standard ones.

Unfortunately loaded up and made active a skin that did not have a container in it. So now I can get into my site but can't see any containers ... including the admin ones. so can't change back to another skin.

Is there a way to restore a default back to a standard skin (they are still all available on the site, just can't see them.)

All I can see on my admin pages are: Control panel / logo / menus (home, admin, host)

The menus are still active but when you click on them there is nothing to see as there is no container.

I feel like a complete fool, please help

I am not sure I understand your problem, but if you want to change the skin from outside the app, just rename it  in your ftp to force the default blue skin/cont.

I had to deal with a similar problem, and got a solution from keeperofstars.
His reply:

Just add this to the end of your url of your site and it will load the default skin for you to use to navigate back to the skin page. Just keep adding it to the end of your urls till you get reset back to the skin you want via the control panel.

?SkinSrc=[G]%2fskins%2fdnn-blue%2fhorizontal+menu+-+full+width

Hope that works!

Thankyou so much,

That has solved it. I am now back in and can change things again.

Having a skin with no container inside was .... a bit difficult to use. :)

appreciate the quick reply

Just to clarify for future ...

I used Yehuda's rename technique by gaining access via FTP and renaming my "bad skin" folder. The site then defaulted to the original DNN blue skin.

thanks for the other suggestion too.
