Is there an issue with VWD? Geesh, I was pretty happy with it... Should I start using Notepad++ or are you saying I should be using Studio?

No issue with VWD, it's just that your description is an install that doesn't need any development of new modules or modifying existing code.  In which case you should install the Install version, and do your site work within DNN.  Use VWD for modfying skins, which still needs only the installation and not any source or starter kit version.  Use the source if you need to modify it.

Outstanding.  I will give it a try. I have been using VWD to tweak skins, I haven't done to much with modules yet,  I have been wrapped up wih content.

I will say this though.

DotNetNuke off the charts awesome. It has entirely changed the way I do business. I used to struggle with each site, custom building it bit by bit (pun intended). Agonizing for hours on knick knacks. None of which the majority of my not-so-web-savvy clients cared much to pay for. Ultimately this meant either a ridiculously low hour/dollar ratio, or churning out crappy half-baked sites.

Usually I would just compromise and get paid to little for a mediocre site and starve. The problem then become one of a portfolio of "eh" sites.

DNN changed all of that. With most of the functionality already on the ground and the accessibility of data combined with the ease of development really make for a revolutionary application.

I am impressed.
