I am not building modules. I am using a regular .ascx control and placing it in an Xepient's Open-Smart Module on my website. Here is some code from my code behind:

Imports iSafeVBData
Imports
DotNetNuke.Services.Localization

Partial Public Class EquipmentList
Inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl

Dim intUserID As Integer = 0

Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load

'needed to localize the headers on the gridview
LocalizeGridView(gvEquipList, Me.LocalResourceFile)

That is my next step.  I thought it was built in with DNN no matter if I am building a Module or not.  I will see what they say.
