What about a specific filename, e.g. http://192.168.1.163/test.html?

Obviously you'll want to create a test.html file in your IIS root virtual directory.

Okay, get this...

I have not made any changes to the DNN portal, or to IIS.  None.  Zero changes.  I've only been waiting for some answers and testing them out.

Now, the site is working over the LAN.  Somebody shoot me, please.

Correction, I did make 2 changes, I added testpage.htm to the root of c:\inetpub\wwwroot and also to the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke01 directory

I didn't do anything in the portal, though, as my alias was already in there.

UGH!?

Sometimes I'm able to correct problems telepathically.  This is probably what happened here :)

(It could also be that your app pool timed out and DNN restarted; sometimes this will fix things)
