I am trying to install dotnetnuke on a new server.  I have created the virtual directory and given set its permissions and double checked them .  I added network service and gave it permissions also.  I navigate to the page and get this.

You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

Please try the following:

  • Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access.

Any ideas?

thanks

You didn't give the application "Execute" permissions.  Go into the properties for the site in IIS, and choose the Virtual Directory or  tab.  In the Application Settings or Home Directory section, select "Scripts and Executables" from the drop down menu.
