Long story, I'll try to make it short. I am running WIndows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005 Enterprise, and DNN 4.05.05

I was using the evaluation copy of SQL 2005 and it went and expired on me. It worked fine until I rebooted the server, now of course it wouldn't connect.

I had already purchased the license, was just too lazy to install it over the eval copy.

I installed SQL 2005 Enterprise (I copied the .mdf file for my DNN database (named hrdintranet.mdb) to the desktop just in case)

I attached to the database, setup my login and user (hrdnew) with the correct rights...now I'm getting this error:

DOTNETNUKE Error: - Version 04.05.05

Login failed for user 'hrdnew'. Reason: Thje password of hte account must be changed.

I'm at wit's end..it appears DNN is starting up fine, it just can't connect to the SQL server. Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

Do you have the management studio installed with SQL? If so, connect to your server using that, setup the inf0rmation for your user. You probably need to uncheck "enforce password policies"

Hey James,

If you log in to your database server with Management Studio, there is a password policy being enforced for that user. You should be able to edit their profile and remove the password policy (there are a couple of check boxes...)

Hope that helps,

Ian
