I don't know exactly what's happened on my site (v04.08.03), but sometime between yesterday morning and last night, I started getting some security errors when trying to do things with the host account.

When I try to restart the application using the 'Restart application' link on the bottom of the host page, I get the following error:

    >A critical error has occured.
    >Access to the path 'E:\inetpub\vhosts\centennialsoccer.org\httpdocs\web.config' is denied.

Also, file manager is not behaving properly, either under host or admin. Trying to upload a new file, for example, results in:

    >An Error Has Occurred WHen Attempting To Save The File {filename}

Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server

I have my hosting site support looking at this now, but they really aren't DNN support, just the hosting account. About the same time this occured yesterday, I had recently cut over the DNS for this site to go live from the previous URL. They made some iis tweaks to the HOST HEADER to the IIS webmail site. It's not supposed to have anything to do with the DNN application, but I'm suspicious. I'm out of my depth here on the back-end config/security stuff. I would be very appreciative of any suggestions.

Make sure that the ASP.Net worker process account (ASPNET or NETWORK SERVICE) has full permission set on all folders/files of the DNN installation INCLUDING the root directory. Depending on your hosting provider, you may be able to set this yourself or you will have to submit a support ticket requesting this permission be set. In either case, be sure that the full permission propagates to sub folders and files.
