I wonder how to configure the folder-rights for the Documents root-folder option to work.

In my case, the root-folder option doesn't work unless I take away the view-rights of all users for all other folders.

Otherwise the first folder that is visable becomes the rootfolder.

But if I configure the above, the Documents-module doesn't show the documents added in this root-folder because the folder isn't visable.

Does this make any sence?

The root folder option in the documents module settings must be a folder that module editors have write permissions to, otherwise it will fall back to the portal root.

There should be no need to remove view rights to a folder.

Ensure View Folder permissions on the default folder are set to enable the users and roles who are authorized to view this module to view these files. Also ensure Write To Folder permissions are set for Module Editors.

If View Folder permissions on the default folder are not set to enable the users and roles who are authorized to view this module to view these files, then these documents are hidden from those users/roles.

What I like about this is the module then displays different documents to different users/roles without having to add multiple modules.

Thanks for the response guys but I've tried all of this.

For the record, I've setup the documents-module as administrator.
Within the documents-module I've choosen a root folder and in the filemanager given this folder the view-permission to all users and wright-permissions to the editors-rol.
Now, when an editor logs in, the first visable folder becomes the rootfolder (not the folder that is setup in the Documents-module).
I've also tried adding additional view-rights to the editors-rol but that's not it either.
