Hi Dilshan,

Did you figure it out yet ?
I seem to have the exact same problem, all mailings from the Portal are working fine, except for the mail notifications from the forums ?

Best regards,

There is no option to use anything but the Host Settings for SMTP. If enabled, the only problem could be a poor from address or allowing the mail to come from each poster.

Hi Crispy,
Where can I check if "Allow mail from each poster" is enabled or disabled?
Thx in advance and regards,

One other thing I have just found out, which could very well be related to the problem we are having.

While im playing around with the forum (Forum_03.20.01_Install). I noticed that I can not delete a post. I post something as a regular user and afterwards I try to delete that post as Host. I get the Post delete page, and I type a message in the "emailed response box" and click on "delete". Than I get this message: "The parameter 'to' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: to". While the poster has a valid email address. When i get back to the Forum I notice that the whole thread is gone. After this I deinstalled "Forum_03.20.01_Install" and installed "Forum_3.10.04_Install", which gives the same result. Maybe anybody has any clue what i'm doing wrong ?

Best regards,

You are not supposed to manage the Forum module as host.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

Hi everyone,

No, I still don’t know what to do about this.

And I also have that error as well. When I try to delete, it gives the error ‘The parameter 'to' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: to’ even from the admin account so yer there might be a connection with both the problems.

It’s the same both with admin and host accounts.

And here is the strange thing; if you put a tick to enable notification if there is a new thread in a forums, it works fine

It’s only the notifications for replies, which are not working but I guess it’s the most important type of notification I think.

Anyway pls do let us know if someone out there knows the answer to this.

Thanks guys,

- Dilshan
