First let me say Evotiva tech support is very responsive.

My problem is that the product requires high technical skill with the environment.  Items to be careful about.. the backup install doesn't include the restore functionality, it is a two step process.  Also make sure the zip files are created during the backup process, I believe due to the GoDaddy configuration permissions for my site the zip files were never created in the first place.

In short, I bought the program but when I needed it I could not restore my site --- hopefully with looking out for the gotchas listed above the program will work well for you.

This is regarding GoDaddy, NOT the module. It is GoDaddy who requires special configurations to make dnn run properly. There are many posts in this same forums about this matter. Search for 'how to install DNN in GoDaddy' ,  'GoDaddy tutorials', 'how to install DNN in the web root in goDaddy', etc.

>the backup install doesn't include the restore functionality
False. It is included. You just have to click on the 'launch restore' button on the module's main page.
When the DNN site is down and the module's restore cannot be launched, you can use the 'restore pack' to do a restore with no dependency on the DNN site being down.

>Also make sure the zip files are created during the backup process
If there is any error, it will be notified on-screen and in the notification email ('backup succeed' or 'backup failed' along with the error details).

>were never created in the first place
If this was the case, the notification (red message) was for sure on screen and the backup email notification

>I could not restore my site
I guess you've never run the backup, or the backup files were later deleted, or the backup was run, but there were e.g. file system write permissions missing, and you didn't noticed the red error message notification from the module about this problem (if this what happened, I can't know).
