We are having problems with the configuration of the SMTP server for sending e-mail.
This is the message from the event log :
Bad sequence of commands. The server response was: This mail server requires authentication when attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address. Please check your mail client settings or contact your administrator to verify that the domain or address is defined for this server.
SMTP Server & Port : i.e. smtp.ourmailserver.com:25
However, when I click on 'test' it says:
There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
support@localhost:2403: The specified string is not in the form required for an e-mail address.
or

Please can you confirm what exactly should be inputted in to the fields - SMTP Server and port: and - Host Email:
Our server uses MailEnable as POP/SMTP client - users have to be authenticated by dafault.
Any ideas on where things are going wrong will be appreciated.
