Yes you need the DotNetNuke 4.8.4 Upgrade and overwrite your current install, but make sure you do not overwrithe the web.config file, you still need it, and the new version makes the changes that are needed.  But notice, don't run the beta in a production envionment, a later upgrade to the gold release is not supported!   Also we do not supporting beta versions on a production envionment.

if you are unable to uninstall beta version of gallery module, you can try renaming related dll files for Gallery module from bin directory,

Note: Always make backup before proceeding.
