Hi,

We have the same exact problem, we have set the SMTP and made the test and received the email normally. Now when some new customer register the system must send the admin a notification email, but this does not happen even though we have set the site mode to Private to allow this feature.

So how come the SMTP test is working but there is not email being sent to the admin. We also have activated the client from the portal, so the system must send the registered client the authentication email but also nothing is sent.

So i guess there is a problem in sending, the DNN is not sending the admin nor the registered client anything while the SMTP test is working fine.

Where did we went wrong?

You must go in log viewer and configure it with edit log setting (you must login with host user), here you can configure email notification for new user registration. Don't forget to check the scheduler for log email notification.
